BOCC now has Video meetings

18th National Pharmaceutical Drug Take Back Day

The DEA will again be sponsoring the eighth National Pharmaceutical Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 26th, 10am-2pm. The State of Washington collected 14,508 pounds of expired and unwanted medications last October – the second-largest collection of pharmaceutical drugs in seven Take Back events for the state.

Island County will be once again participating in this event at the local sites (Oak Harbor Police Department, Coupeville Marshal’s Office, and the South Precinct Sheriff’s Office in Freeland).

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Island County Commissioners will hold public hearings in the Commissioners Hearing Room, Coupeville, WA to consider Ordinance C-40-14 (PLG-002-14) Adopting amendments to Island County Code Chapter 17.03, Development Regulations for Marijuana Production, Processing and Retail Sales as Authorized Under State Law.  Date and Time:  April 21, 2014 at 10:15 a.m.  (The Public Hearing will open at 10:15 a.m., a recess will be called and then the hearing will reconvene for additional public comment at 6:00 p.m.)

ALL PERSONS interested in the above matter should be present at the time and place above specified, or should file written comments with the Island County Department of Planning and Community Development before the above date. Materials
