If you're looking to find information on inmates in Oregon, there are a few different options available to you. Depending on where the inmate is being held, you may need to use different methods to search for them.

Oregon State Prisons Inmate Lookup Options

To find an inmate in an Oregon state prison, the first place you should start is with the Oregon Department of Corrections (ODOC) website. They have an online inmate search tool that allows you to search for inmates by name, SID number, or other identifying information. You can also narrow your search by specifying the facility where the inmate is being held. The ODOC website also provides information on visitation schedules, mailing addresses, and phone calls.

County Jails Inmate Lookup Options

If the inmate you're looking for is being held in a county jail, you'll need to search for them on the website of the county sheriff's office. Each county has its own website, so you'll need to do some research to find the correct site. Once you're on the website, look for an inmate search tool or section, which should allow you to search for inmates by name, booking number, or other identifying information. You can also usually find information on visitation schedules, mailing addresses, and phone calls.

Federal Prisons Inmate Lookup Options

If the inmate you're looking for is being held in a federal prison, you'll need to use the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) website. The BOP has an online inmate locator tool that allows you to search for inmates by name or BOP register number. You can also search for inmates by location, release date, or age. The BOP website also provides information on visitation schedules, mailing addresses, and phone calls.

VINE Search and How to Use it

Another option for finding information on inmates in Oregon is to use the Victim Information and Notification Everyday (VINE) system. VINE is a national program that allows victims and other concerned individuals to track the custody status of inmates in real-time. To use VINE, you'll need to visit the Oregon VINE website and register for an account. Once you've registered, you can search for inmates by name, booking number, or other identifying information. You'll also receive automatic notifications when the inmate's custody status changes, such as when they're released or transferred to a different facility.
